Setting sprays are perfect for setting the face, refreshing it, priming it, and blending in everything especially the powder (blush, highlighter, and bronzer). This is one item that every New Yorker should have especially during the humid months (LIFE SAVER). You will most likely find one of theses sprays in my bags when I'm commuting to work or traveling. All of these sprays extend the wear of my make-up. Check my list below from drugstore to high-end setting sprays.
Wet n Wild Photofocus Setting Spray
An amazing find at the drug store which so happens to be the least expensive from my list of setting sprays. It contains aloe vera which hydrates your skin. This may make your skin feel "wet" but wait a few minutes and it will disappear. Bonus: Small enough for traveling without having to buy a travel size one.
Milani Make It
Have you seen my past Current Favorites? If not, I talked about this specific setting spray. Make sure to check it out and see why I loved it so much and why I'm still loving it today. For some reason, every time I go to my nearest drugstore and go to the Milani section, this spray is ALWAYS out of stock. If you love this, make sure to buy more than one! You can thank me later. Another great drug store setting spray that doesn't break the bank!
Pixi Glow Mist
This is my newest setting spray and I must say, I love it! This is an all-over face mist for glowy, luminous and smooth complexion. Although I have oily skin, this is a great spray when I over do it on the powder. This is the only spray on my list that you can wear as a primer before your make-up or after as a setting spray. Make sure to shake before using since it does separate in the bottle. Don't forget to grab one at your local Target or online.
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray- Sephora has over 6,000 reviews on this spray so that must mean something...right? This was actually the first ever setting spray that I used in high school so it brings back a lot of nostalgia. I used it when I went to three different proms which lasted all night (just like the name). It is my go-to whenever I'm going to be out and about for a very long time. It has a serious staying power. It has the finest mist that I've tried so far and it feels so refreshing. Also, it does not have any parabens, sulfates, or phthalates. An amazing product for any skin type.
1. Spray your eyeshadow brush first before applying product. This will enhance the color and glitter on your eyelids.
2. Have you seen this post? I tell you how to make your skin extra dewy with setting spray.
3. If you don't want an over-all glow, spray in certain areas (cheek bones) and cover the rest of your face with your hand.
4. Make sure to pull your hair back if you don't want the spray to alter your hair style or texture. Especially if you straightened your hair!
Well thats my list of low-end and high-end setting sprays! What are your favorites? Let me know in the comments below!
