Tucked away at Rockaway beach you will discover a mixture of bright red, pink, and white abandoned house. This outdoor installation by artist Katharina Grosse has been visible for about a year now. Make sure to check out this art piece before it's too late! Reflecting the bold colors of sunset in the Rockaways, Grosse has transformed Fort Tilden's abandoned building into beautiful artwork. It is open to the public free of charge during regular park hours. Just a side note, you will not see the building from the road so keep driving towards the water and see you will see it. You can actually park near the building so you can get some great shots. Try to visit during the week around 5 or 6 pm. This is great timing for lighting and you will miss the crowds. After you have your impromtu photoshoot, you can watch the sunset at the beach. Perfect way to end the day and head home without the NYC traffic.
