I haven't done a beauty post in a very, very long time. But get ready to see a few within the next few months! Half of these products you can buy at your local drug store! Keep reading to learn about my top 5 hair products.
SHAMPOO: I was introduced by this shampoo when I went to Fox and Jane Salon in Manhattan. Incredible experience for my first time going last month. This product helps to revive the color in in your hair which is exactly what I look for in shampoo. It is also sulfate and paragon free. Plus, there is a corresponding conditioner (hair mask) that goes with it (picture above). I only use the shampoo once a week since that is what my hair dresser recommended.
HAIR MASK: Instead of using a conditioner (besides the one mentioned above) since it doesn't detangle my hair and it doesn't make my hair soft enough, I opt for a hair mask. These masks are absolutely amazing because I can get up to 4 uses out of them. I have long hair so this really says something about the amount of product that is given in each pouch. Plus it smells amazing!
EXFOLIATOR: I recently added this to my hair regime this Winter and it's a huge game changer to my locks. It truly exfoliates my scalp from dead skin (raise your hand if you deal with dandruff) and gets rid of all the build up from the products I put in my hair. I typically use this once a week before shampoo and conditioner.
HAIR OIL: If you have coarse, wavy, or curly hair that is brunette, you know this product is a must. I love a hair oil that you can apply multiple times through out the day or week for a beautiful shine.
DRY SHAMPOO: So I have to confess, I only wash my hair twice a week since my hair is coarse and I get my hair toned at the salon 3-4 times a year. In order to prolong the gloss, I wash my hair as little as possible. This means I need a dry shampoo that will help with volume and absorb my my natural oils.
BONUS: These Kristin Ess products are so amazing at keeping my hair smooth and tangle free! I love the smell of them because they are not too scented. Available at Target with travel sizes (like these).
So there you have it! It is so easy to achieve healthy hair, just make sure you are using the right products for your hair type. If you want to see another hair post on how I style my natural waves, comment on my IG or below.
