TRIPS TO PUERTO RICO

Trips to Puerto Rico, say the word and we’ll go! Haha I love Bruno Mars!

Hey guys! I just got back to Puerto Rico and it was an amazing 4-day trip. The main reason why we went was to celebrate my friends, Sofia’s and Tim’s wedding. Instead of wearing my usual cream, baby pink colors, I opted for this baby blue dress (similar here) and my favorite nude heels. I didn’t even need to get it hemmed (5’4” and under girls would totally understand)! Although it was brief, we got to reunite with some of our college friends and explore the beautiful island. We partied in Old San Juan at their annual San Sebastian Street Festival. Puerto Ricans truly know how to party!

We stayed in Aguadilla at the Rincon Resort with the rest of the wedding party. This resort has a large pool, hot tub, swimming bar, and of course the beach (on the right). I’m wearing this cute high waisted bathing suit (exact here), this handmade crochet top and bottoms, a woven hat (similar here) and backpack (exact here). Of course on any tropical vacation, you need sunglasses. Shop my looks below!

Our first excursion led us to Cuevas Ventas aka Window Cave located in Arecibo. This guided hike provides you with a helmet and a flashlight. The guide will talk about the rich history of the caves and the petroglyphs. Make sure to look up so you can see the bats.

We checked out Tres Palmas Beach also known as Steps Beach for the concrete steps sitting on the sand. This location is ideal for surfing and snorkeling! If you walk in the opposite direction of the steps, you will see a swing. A great place to take pictures!

On our last day in Puerto Rico, we decided to go to Gonzalandia Falls located in San Sebastian. A quick hike will lead you to two waterfalls - one where you can jump off of and the other one has another swimming pool and a rope swing. Since it was a holiday, the gates were closed but don’t let that discourage you from entering. On a regular day, parking is $5 and there are restrooms on site. We spent about 2 hours there taking tons of pictures and enjoying mother nature. The first waterfall is about 60 feet high so be prepared and wear water shoes.
