We all want that one eyeliner that will give us the perfect winged look but it can be tough to find the right one for your needs and level of experience.
The first decision you need to make is what type of tip do you want in an eyeliner. Do you like a brush tip that allows smooth application or a felt tip that can give you a sharp wing? If a brush is too flexible you may not be able achieve clean lines but a felt tip can cause patchy skips when it dries out.
Today, I’ve put together the best eyeliners for a winged look. Keep reading to find out just the right one for you!
Best Felt Tip Eyeliner for Beginners
The Scandeleyes Precision Micro Eyeliner is perfect for beginner users. The ultra-thin felt tip allows for smooth precision even when your hand is shaky just like the name implies. This eyeliner dries very quickly so you will not have to worry about it transferring to your eyelids.
Best Brush Tip Eyeliner
Brush eyeliners are my preferred choice of eyeliners because they tend to last longer than most felt tip eyeliners. Plus, it typically doesn’t drag when applying to the eyelids but instead glides evenly. The NYX Epic Ink Eyeliner in colors black and brown are my favorite drugstore eyeliners since it is very affordable. NYX offers it in two colors which most drugstore brands only offer in black. I love wearing brown eyeliner in the spring and summer for a more casual, subtle look. It’s just as good as any high-end brush tip liner.
Best Matte Eyeliner
If you are looking for a matte liquid eyeliner, look no further; The Milani Stay Put Matte 17HR Wear Liquid Liner does not smudge and it is truly matte. This eyeliner was the second hardest one to remove with just soap and water.
The e.l.f Expert Liquid Liner has one of the finest tip brushes that I have ever owned. I love using this eyeliner for graphic and dramatic eye looks . Make sure to be patient and allow the product to fully dry before blinking. Did I also mentioned that it is only $2?!
Best Waterproof Eyeliner
The Wet n Wild H2O Proof Liquid Eyeliner is the only waterproof eyeliner on my list that can withstand any tears or water activities . A satin finish formula with a bit of a streaky application may need to be applied more than once for an intense black pigmentation. Although not the thinnest tip, this liner will last all day long.
These eyeliners are some of my most beloved in my collection and I wouldn’t be able to create a winged look without these products. I hope you enjoyed my list of the best eyeliners for a winged look. Comment below your favorite eyeliner.
